ENTEK
International Grand Prix
15th Annual Race
July 18, 2008
OSU, Jefferson Avenue
Friday: 5:45pm-6:45pm
Da Vinci Days has its very own electric car race! The ENTEK International Grand Prix is the nation’s longest consecutively
running Electrathon America-sanctioned event. This is a clean,
silent road race.
The racecourse is located between the
Oregon State University lower campus and downtown Corvallis along tree-lined streets. Up to 20 vehicles usually
compete. Driver's ages range from 16
to 66.
Electrathon race vehicles run on standard car batteries. The
competition is based on speed and energy use. Racers compete for the greatest number of laps around the 0.8 mile racecourse in one hour without recharging.
Spectator Guidelines
This is a spectator sport! Spectators are invited to enjoy this environmentally sound, but quiet, competition. Bleachers are set up at the start/finish line under the cool shade of majestic Douglas Fir trees.
Always be careful when near the race course. These vehicles are SILENT! So be alert!
