Da Vinci Days Announces 2006 Community Art Project Theme:
Tools and Toolboxes
Corvallis, Ore. (April 23, 2006)—Da Vinci Days invites individuals and groups of all ages and artistic talents to create Tools and Toolboxes for this year's Community Art Project. Artwork will be displayed along Madison Avenue during da Vinci Days, July 14-16, 2006.
Some cardboard boxes are available for free at ArtCentric, 700 SW Madison Ave. You may also use your own box, or create a free-standing tool or toolbox.
You will install your tool or toolbox on Friday, July 14, and remove it by 6 pm on Sunday, July 16. Participation is free. For ideas, guidelines, and registrations, stop by ArtCentric or contact Joni at 754-1551, or by email.
About da Vinci Days
Da Vinci Days, a summertime-fun community festival celebrating the crossroads of art, science and technology, is a tradition in Corvallis, Oregon. Marking the 18th annual da Vinci Days, this year's festival runs from July 14-16, with online ticket sales beginning May 1, 2006. Da Vinci Days is produced each year with the help of nearly 1,000 volunteers and support from hundreds of sponsors and donors.
